I found this pic of my tint from last November ( I did it for a car show). I had it on for 5 days and got the living crap harrassed out of me by cops. So it had to go. Damn shame I think. It was deffinetly different. And yeah.. I did it myself. Im good like that. :D Im also a tad stupid like that to put it on a daily driven car.:rolleyes: ;)

Thanks. The Subaru logo is cut out in a morror tint, and then the windows were tinted normally, over the logo.

No, but only because I have a few friends that are on the job. That kinda helped me a little. I have a feeling if I left it on, I wouldve gotten a few eventually. Ill prob do something a little more subtle soon. Like the Subaru logo at the front of the front door glass and have the stars flying out of the oval across the front door glass and across the rear door glass. I dunno.. Im actually selling the car for a WRX wagon now. So maybe Ill have a lil fun with that if and when I get it.

That is actually pretty cool. I can see that on a show car, but not on something daily driven...

whiplash is whoring off of my server.
my ISP blocked port 80 for security reasons so i'm using a funky port for web traffic. if you're behind a corporate firewall you'll most likely get the red X. a personal firewall could do the same thing.

I think that looks awesome. I think I might try something more subtle with a smaller logo on one of the windows, not sure where though. Good job and great idea!

The only thing that was cut out was the logo. The regular tint went right over it, so you didnt really notice it. Where the logo was just appeared darker from the inside.

It lookedgr8. I have something similar, though smaller. I have the 'i' in mirror on my coupe's rear 1/4 windows. I was originally going to put a stars logo in the rear, but it would have been killer on the person who installed it.

i believe you are a tinter at tones tunes? And I believe in early august you tinted my yellow sedan...and then i drove it to atlanta for good.

Yeah.. that would be me. Im glad you liked the work. I take alot of pride in it. I remember the car as well. I tend to remember the Subarus I do, mainly the WRXs. And a Sonic yellow one especially. I did a sonic yellow wagon right after that actually. I traded the RS in recently though. I finally picked up an 04 Silver WRX. If you ever have a problem with your car or youre ever in the area again and need something done, just let me know. Ive done quite a few WRXs and figure some of em have to be on this board, but youre the first that Ive come across now. :cool:

I think I see your wagon quite often actually. Is it tinted? Cause I see a silver one with tint and one without alot.

Well, the tint on the windows was too dark by law. And the logo drew even more attention to the windows. In day light, the logo practically lit up from sunlight. I guess it would all depend on where you live and what the laws are by you. Im thinking about doing something similar again, just maybe a lil smaller this time.

i used to have an sc300 with 15% tint. it was done by the shop that used to be where tones tunes is now in 1999. I had no problems from the suffolk county PD...wweird...eitherway ive moved away frmo li for good for a while. its nice to register the car with my parents tho.

someone did this way back in the day.
i wanted to do it to my moon roof. all ya have to do is put the light one on then put the dark over it. its easy and any shop can do it.
