What front lip should I get?

Trying to make the best of bad situation. Had an accident last week. Figure I might as well make my car look better (since she'll be in the shop for 3wks:( ). I'm getting a Seibon CF hood (EDMs too if my lights need to be replaced:cool: ) and *finally* getting my sideskirts painted but I don't know what front lip to get. I can't find the one I had on (its a replica). But I gotta let the shop know soon.
I can spend up to $400, maybe a lil more depending on how much I like it. Pics below of my car pre-"telephone pole encounter" and hood I'm getting.
Give me your opinion!

I would figure that you being a female you would refer to your car as a he :D j/k The CF hood would definatley look good with the silver. The lip should be available through one of the vendors in the venors section.

Ur car is sweet, looks a lot like mine. I had a greddy lip but it was torn off by the driveway, so I might get the V1 sti, origional lip. Smaller and looks clean. I am kinda sick of a lot of xtra bling. I like the hood, I think I like the Kaminari a little better if your into the revese scoop. A friend of mine was getting the one you are looking at, if you serach froogle.com u will see a Shti Load of them. Good luck, post more picks.

Mikals - They won't have it. It's a CF replica. Can't tell from pic, it was partially painted.
Not sure if I want to go with poly painted or get a smaller CF lip.... I havent seen enough to know what will look good.

DAAAAMMM! nice car. I don't know too many girls with straight cars like that. If you serach froogle you will find the lip you want, guarenteed. Where did u get it tunes? KTR??

My car just came back with a new tranny, sti ra gears, and on the way home blew the motor. So I haven't drivein my car going on 4 months now, but it shud be done either this fri or next week early. I did a JDM V8 complete swap, cost about the same. So three weeks isn't too bad, but I know how you feel.

Kaminari lip would look really good with the cf splitter. If I had a sedan my route for a small lip would be prodrive lip + kaminari cf splitter or similar cf splitter mounted underneath. Sidenote, how is the exaust running 4" -> 3" -> 2.5"?

Sorry to hear about your car that sucks. The only thing killing me now is no rental ins. I'm paying over $150 a week to drive a dodge neon!!!! And we've been getting hammered here with snow ever since it happened.

Misswrx- I had to rent as well, I have a Cavalir right now, and that was with a double uprgrade. Since insurance is not covering anything, and subaru voided my warrenty, it is out of pocket so I guess that is all I am getting, good old Cav. And it is ****e in the snow.

Get the replica Syms lip...I think it will look nice but balance it out with maybe rear lip and a reverse scoop instead

Pleue - sorry, thought your question was kinda straight forward :o . To be honest I don't have much (ie [i]any[/i]) experience with other setups to tell you the difference. As far as I'm concerned its great though; I definately havent had any problems/complaints. I don't have any hard exhaust specific numbers for you. I know the car has run 12.2 @ 114, but thats with all mods.

I was putting a new lip on as i said, and was thinking carbon fiber, but personally I dont liket he stock. The sti u had is cleaner looking, still stock, and cud always put those splitters as mentioned above for a little more cabon fiber. You have the hood, raisers, and side markers all in carbon fiber, spoiler in my view might be overdoing it a little. But people will def notice your car being different. Where did you run the 1/4, Lebanon?

I honestly do not really like that lip too much. Looks more ghetto/ricey that I like. I think the lip you had looked pretty, or even the V1 STI can be bought for under $200 (replica). I think subtle is the way to go esp since you are putting a cf hood on. I like your headlight idea though, that would look sweet. I had teh greddy lip, now lipless, hah, but i think it was too much a pia to deal with again.
I've been on the test and tune night, i think it was on tues when I went. It is like $10 or $15 to run the car, u can get a few runs in, pretty fun. I'm sure this spring i'll go, if you want let me know. my yahoo/im is kpmatt00, i'm online most of the day at work.

If I could get the lip I had that would be great, but it was a replica that I cant find anywhere. $525 for the STi V2 is too much. If they'll foot most of that bill then maybe. Guess I wont be able to decide till I know how much they'll give me.
Surprisingly I really don't like most of the stuff out there at all. I might just see what it looks like without any.

Matt - yea the EDMs are the way to go if you have the xtra money ($950+ compared to $700-750). And there is a leveling switch on the JDMs so you don't have to blind people. kinda far -bout 2hrs- but its no prob. I have some friends in New Haven so I'm used to the drive (and how I hate those CT highway patrol). I'll probly set it up to get my car tuned at xxtuning before the track.

Nice Nice...u tune at XX huh. A freind of mine just got his car tuned again there, seems like it is a pretty nice tune, very similar to urs actually, vf22 front mount etc. I was going to go to KTR Performance, might be up near you, it's in Ayer, Massachusetts, never been yet though. They Ecutek and since my ecu is now jdm that is prob best op syst. for me, safest anyways. I work down by the shore, fairfeild county but go back up north on the weekends. Dive slow, def don't want tickets, but I think VT State Troopers are worse, like to give me tickets while going skiing!

Get the oem lip and paint it silver with the middle black. I think it would compliment the hood without overdueing the CF.
