What to do with my $800?

I need some opinions/suggestions on what to do with $800 ive saved to spend on my 03wrx. Ive been wanting some EDM projectors for a while now, but im not sure if I should spend it all in one lump and get them, or do a few small things. (I already have a cobb stage 2, rims, lowering springs, shortshifter, momo knob and e-break handle, strut tower bar, tint.)
I was also thinking mabey like an uppipe and some foglight covers, and mabey an mp3 player. If anyone has some good suggestions, im open to hearing them.

definately get an up pipe in there;)
| kogs | 03-30-2006 09:53 PM |
any other suggestions with the approx $650 after I get the uppipe?
| tasq | 03-30-2006 09:57 PM |
I'll take another 100 - 150 off your list... Get an adjustible rear sway bar!
| dcoty | 03-30-2006 09:59 PM |
Yeah, do a little power, that what makes me look foreward to drive my car. But with the rest I would do:
Rear swaybar
Endlinks
Exterior detail (black car here with rough winters)
Maybe an OEM lip, i like the way they look on bugeyes
Just some suggestions...:)

steering rack bushings, stainless brake lines, up-pipe, rear sway bar, maybe some endlinks... or just send it to me and let me spend it on my car. that's the no-fuss solution.
| kogs | 03-30-2006 10:02 PM |
oh ya, sorry, i forgot to say that I had a prodrive lip

An uppipe, rear sway, front and rear endlinks would be the a great start to spending that cash. If your on stock struts I'd probably spend the rest on some nice struts. Koni or KYB AGX.
| kogs | 03-30-2006 10:39 PM |
Ya, struts were in the back of my mind. I really dont know what struts would go good with my progress springs though.
| kogs | 03-30-2006 11:16 PM |
Im sorta leaning toward stainless brake lines (150), rear swaybar with front & rear endlinks(415), an uppipe(150), and then something else.

99% of the springs on the market will work fine with either brand strut. And will definitely work better than the stock struts.

that sounds good.
be sure to get pillowball front endlinks or there won't be much improvement with the stock front bar.
or just forget the front endlinks and get a new headunit with the 180 left over:)

this is a good kit but it's $$$
you can get cusco rsb and helix endlinks for 170+100=270 and i'm sure your rear mounts will be fine.

^Thats what i did (cusco/helix combo).
| Jonnyfilmboy | 03-31-2006 09:04 AM |
You could get an 04 STi cluster and steering wheel. That's something you'd see every time you drive. Or Defi gauges. I just got new rims and the only problem is that I can't see them when I drive unless I drive past an all-glass building. And then I drive into the guy in front of me because I am checking myself out in the reflection. And that's just not cool.
| Jonnyfilmboy | 03-31-2006 09:05 AM |
Oh, btw, I have cusco adj. RSB and it has made all the difference. Car handles perfectly now. Especially with my 18's.

how bout this rear sway bar with mounts (180) then helix endlinks (100)

I just figure for an extra $10 for mounts was a good deal. There both 22mm so unless you guys think otherwise, those are the ones. Let me know what you think....Oh ya then, an uppipe, ssbrake lines, and possibly a mp3 player.
1)For the uppipe, perrin or invidia? s321 compared to s304 steel respectivly, is it necessary to have s321? heres my link: LINK
2)any suggestions for the stainless brake lines? im thinking cobb
3)Suggestions for mp3 player? i was thinking alpine.

I'd take that 650 and spend it on better tires. That'll improve just about all performance aspects, except top speed

gut your stock uppipe = free
buy a used vf39 = $200-$350
buy modded stock injectors or used 565cc pinks = $100-$275
then you have 3 ways to go:
1. Get a protune - $200 - $500 most are around $200
2. buy a PDX map tuned for your mods. - $150
3. buy a wideband and run the cobb vf30 map. - $200-500.
option 1 would be the best solution, option 2 would be the second best.

Thats sweet, i would never have thought about that. Although id love to do it, upgrading turbos is a pretty major mod to do, and im pretty happy with the power im at right now. Great idea for me for the future though. thanks guys...

Ya i was really thinking about getting some edm's. But now I look at all the performance goodies I can get instead. Probably im gonna hold off on the edm's, because I really want to try and keep everything balanced on my car. For instance, its gonna have new rims and tires this summer, its already lowered, has a prodrive lip with painted sideskirts, i have carbonfiber sidemarkers and a blue "I" badge on order from gruppe-s, and I have eyelids. As for added horsepower, I have stage 2 accessport, but it could really use a uppipe for some increased response. My interior has got a shortshifter and momo e-brake handle and shift knob, so I think I should spend a bit to get an mp3 player (theres a nice alpine one for $180 I saw). Then handling department is really lacking, with only a front strut tower bar, and springs, so I think I owe it to my car to get the sway bar with endlinks. And as for braking, I feel if im probably going to be pushing around 280-290hp I really should get some stainless steal break lines to help in that area.

unless you get it used for a great price, the sti tmic isn't all that great... you can get a txs or other tmic for just a lil more and it'll definitely outperform the sti's tmic. or go fmic.

Cobb stage 2 suspension? May have to digg a little deeper into your wallet for installation. :) , but getting more power is very satisfying. I think about this situation almost everyday. hmmmmm which one
